Message from the Headteacher

This week we learnt our music department has received the Mayor’s Hackney Music Award. A very well-deserved acknowledgement of our superbly talented staff and students and an absolute cause for celebration. They will be performing at the Hackney Gala Concert on 20th January. Good luck and well done to all.

On Monday we extended a warm welcome to several (800 bookings!) prospective students to our Sixth form Open evening. I am delighted that SNS Sixth Form remains a destination for many young people, both internally and externally.

Thank you to parents/carers who were here for Progress Review Day. Strong home-school partnership boosts student achievement. I hope the meetings provided you with an enhanced idea of progression and how our young people can achieve ambitious outcomes.

Recent Fundraising Update

At the end of Autumn Term, we held a non-uniform day for Friday 19th December and we launched a donation pot following the devastating events in Jamaica. I am delighted to announce that, through the generosity of our school community, we raised over £560 for The Bike Project and over £640 for the Jamaica Relief fund.

Donations raised for both these organisations will be directed with the hope of making a meaningful difference in lives of both communities.
