Dear Parent/Carer,

I would like to inform you of the details of our results day on Thursday 13 August 2020.

The current situation has required us to rethink how we enable students to access their results in a safe way this year. We have decided that this will be done by requesting students to attend in tutor groups at different entrances. Please see details below:

Unfortunately, for health and safety reasons, we will not be permitting parents on-site when students come to collect their results. Students who are unable to attend will be sent their results by post.

Post-results support

Post-results support will be available should your child need this. This will be based on the first floor of the sixth form. Students will need to sign in on the day to access this support. This enables us to maintain social distancing throughout. We have arranged for My Big Career to be in attendance to support students who require it. Their mission is to provide free one-to-one guidance to young people, delivered by professionally qualified advisers volunteering from within the independent sector. These individuals are motivated by their shared passion for making career and educational opportunities available to all.

I would like to stress that staff will not be available to discuss individual grades on the day. The purpose of the morning is for students to celebrate their achievements and support those who may need help in their next steps. Further information regarding the possibility of exam resits will be given on results day once there has been further clarification from the exam boards.

UPDATE 12/08/2020: Guidance on Appeals and applications to resit an examination in the Autumn.

Kind regards

Mr Bell-Nevin

Director of Sixth Form
