Stoke Newington School and Sixth Form applauds Sixth Form fantastic outcomes

Our Year 13 students have shown great maturity, understanding and resilience during such unprecedented times. We are very pleased with our young people’s fine achievements. Today marks the end of their secondary school education and the start of a new chapter. The students’ hard work has enabled them to progress to the best of higher education institutions, many to their first choice of university including Oxbridge, leading art schools and high quality apprenticeships.

Headteacher Zehra Jaffer said: “In these unique times, Stoke Newington School students’ have shown impressive compassion and fortitude. It is lovely to see so many of our students receive superb results; successfully launching them to the next part of their educational journey, building on the great foundation secured with us. Thank you to all the staff, students and their families for their hard work, determination and commitment in making this possible. Well done all!”

Fran Plowright-Nelson, Chair of Governors, said that, “I and all the governors are delighted so many of our students have achieved excellent results. This gives us an opportunity to celebrate the tremendous work of the students – who rightly deserve much praise for their perseverance. Governors, parents, teachers and of course the students themselves should be rightly proud that our community Sixth Form best prepares students for a world of opportunity."
