Alex Holmes OBE delivers anti-bullying speech at SNS
The anti-bullying campaigner spoke to our Year 7 and Year 8 students
As part of our anti-bullying week, Alex Holmes OBE - founder of a peer-to-peer anti-bullying ambassadors programme - visited our students to speak to them about the impact of bullying.
Alex told students the story of how he founded the programme aged 16 following his own experiences of being bullied. The programme has since trained 50,000 young people across 5,000 schools.
Alex's assembly covered all aspects of bullying, from recognising and preventing bullying, to online abuse and internet safety. He also told stories about how he taught rapper Central Cee when he was a teacher, and what it's like to meet Prince William - and even offer him advice!
It was a great assembly, and our students were excellent and engaged listeners.
