Headteacher’s Communication – SNS Home Learning Day 4
This week seems to have flown by. Well done to everyone – students, staff and parents, for your part in Week 1 of SNS Home Learning. We can do this!
Mock Exams Year 11 and Year 13
A reminder that mock exams will be sent by post and by midday Monday 11th January 2021, your child’s Teams calendar will reflect the student’s exam timetable for all the exams that were missed in the first sitting. If you think that their Teams calendar has exams missing, please email Mark Bynoe, mar.byn@sns.hackney.sch.uk or Shane Bell-Nevin sha.bel@sns.hackney.sch.uk as soon as possible. Please do not hesitate to contact the school should you have any questions.
Year 11 Parents evening will now be on Wednesday 3rd February from 4-6.30pm to allow time for the marking of the second set of mock examinations.
Sixth Form Open Evening is Monday 11 January – see our website for information. Please note the deadline for applications to the Sixth Form is Monday 22nd February 2021.
The SNS Way – Home Learning
During this phase of Home Learning, it is important students continue to adhere to our SNS Way. We have amended this to reflect our present way of working. Our intention is to post home to you a hard copy which you can display at your child's workspace. Please do go through these with your son/daughter.

Parent Forum Schedule
In case you missed my message yesterday with regards to weekly year group parent forums. The aim of these sessions is to share updates, advise and importantly for you to be able to feedback on provision. Please do come along it is a good way to be connected. The schedule is as below for Years 7-12, with Year 13 to be confirmed shortly. The links are to follow.

Enrichment
A reminder for call out to all parents/carers - if you can volunteer some time per week to run an activity during the evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Please email Mr Bailey (Assistant Headteacher) on Ama.bai@sns.hackney.sch.uk. Please note as per our safeguarding policies we would conduct DBS checks on all our volunteers working with our students.

This is an incredibly challenging time for one and all, but I know we will push forward and navigate our way through becoming kinder, wiser and stronger together as one community - the wonderful SNS community.
