SNS at LFW!
SNS A level Textiles student exhibits work at London Fashion Week.
Fatimabibi Mohmad in year 13 made it to the finals of the 2019 Fashion Futures Award, a competition designed to help young people from diverse backgrounds get the skills and support to work in the fashion industry. Fashion Futures is organised by FAD (Fashion Awareness Direct), a Hackney charity that has worked with students from SNS for over 15 years, however, Fatimambibi is the first to make it through to the finals.
She attended a series of workshops over several months on Saturdays and in the holidays to create a garment that focused on sustainably. Her work appeared in the prestigious catwalk show at Fashion Scout during London Fashion Week.
