We are delighted to announce that Stoke Newington School has been awarded the Artsmark Platinum Award!

We are extremely proud to have achieved this prestigious award which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to providing a creative, varied and engaging range of learning opportunities within the arts for all young people in our school community.

Artsmark is the only creative quality standard for schools and is accredited by Arts Council England. It is awarded after a rigorous assessment process that ensures that arts, culture and creativity are embedded across the curriculum.

Highlights of our feedback from Arts Council England include:

"We were impressed by your strong commitment to the transformative power of the Arts, which is making a difference to teaching and learning across the school and within the local community. Creativity and arts are clearly referenced within the school planning documents and there is direct SLT, Governor and board support.
"The Creative Arts are a large, well-resourced team with access to professional spaces who drive an established range of provision, underpinned by a credible (and expanding) qualification offer. It is great to hear about embedded programmes such as the Poet in Residence, Play Space project with SEN pupils in the community, your focus on wellbeing, pupils helping with CPD, the transition summer school and the increase in extra-curricular activity. It's also great that the school has worked with specialists to develop an EDI strategy."

We are thrilled to share this achievement and would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone in the Stoke Newington School community for all the hard work, effort and support.
