SNS celebrates impressive GCSE results
104 level 9 grades awarded across all subjects
Stoke Newington School's (SNS) GCSE results have improved for the second year running, with the percentage of students getting strong passes in English and Maths (grade 5) increasing to 56% and the equivalent percentage for grade 4 at 76%.
On average 81% of SNS students achieved grades 4 to 9 in the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Separate Sciences. There were a pleasing 104 level 9 grades across the full range of subjects with 5 students gaining a grade 9 in both English and Mathematics.
The school’s creative subjects continue to excel with very strong results in Art, Photography, Media, Resistant Materials and Textiles. 38% of our students achieved the English Baccalaureate an increase of 9% on last year with 30% at strong pass (Grade 5 and above across all the English Baccalaureate subjects). Science, History, Languages and Citizenship show progress significantly above the national rate.
