Channel 4 journalist, Jordan Jarrett-Bryan, visited the school as part of his story on footballer Troy Deeney's campaign to make the teaching of Black, Asian and ethnic minority history mandatory in schools.

Here at SNS we've been teaching a new diverse curriculum in History which was created in collaboration with Hackney teachers and council staff, including Mr Harvey, our History teacher.

Jarrett-Bryan interviewed a group of our students about their thoughts on the curriculum we've been teaching, as well as how they feel about Deeney's campaign to make the teaching of Black, Asian and ethnic minority history mandatory in schools.

This is the second time this year our teaching of this pioneering curriculum has caught news attention, with the Guardian interviewing our students earlier this year in January.
