The Year 9 textiles class spent a creative and informative day at the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow. Students took part in a printing workshop, creating a relief print card inspired by the designs of Morris and Co and natural forms.

They then had an opportunity to explore the gallery, learn about the life and work of William Morris, and visit the Women in Print, Liberty textiles exhibition where they saw work by designers including Althea McNish and Sonia Delauney.

It was an enlightening and inspiring day for the students who all created beautiful print designs and impressed the museum staff with their ambition, knowledge and creativity.
