I am a corporate solicitor working primarily in private mergers & acquisitions, based in the City of London. I'm originally from New Zealand but immigrated to London three years ago and have lived in Hackney ever since. I have close to a decade of corporate and legal experience, as well as previous professional and voluntary governance experience.
I have previously sat on professional boards in New Zealand, governing long term savings schemes and investment portfolios, with assets under management totalling over $130m. I am a fluent speaker of Te Reo Māori, the native language of New Zealand, and lived in Shanghai for a year where I learnt basic Chinese Mandarin.
Whilst I don't have any children, my family have been heavily involved in education for decades. My mother was a teacher for 38 years and my father (also previously a teacher) was the Chair of the Board of Governors for my school.
I am passionate about giving back to my local community and look forward to being involved and contributing to the Stoke Newington School community.
