Headteacher's Letter - 28/06/24
SNS Appreciation Week, Summer Showcase, and much more!
Friday 28th June 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
A special shout out to our Year 11 and Year 13 students who marked their academic milestones this week at their Proms. They were fantastic events, filled with music, speeches, lots of laughter and even some tears (for the right reasons!). Having parents/carers join us and jointly celebrate our young people is unique to SNS. It is also a time to celebrate our partnership to secure the very best for our children. We appreciate your incredible support throughout your young person’s time with us. Thank you to all of you who attended and made the evening special.
SNS Appreciation Week – Starting Monday 1st July
The annual SNS appreciation week starts on Monday. We will be marking the week with planned assemblies, ‘Thank you’ cards distributed and reward trips for students. In addition, we invite all parents and carers to write a 'Thank you' message to staff members using this link. All messages are much appreciated and will be forwarded to staff members if named.

Thank you to the many of you who have already made your purchase. The texts can be purchased via the school’s online shop: Stoke Newington School Shop (parentpay.com). If possible, could purchases be made by Wednesday 17th July to ensure the order is completed for September.
SNS Mock Election Day – Thursday 4th July
We are holding our very own election on Thursday 4th July, to give the students a firsthand experience of the right to vote, an essential element of democracy.
On the day of the General Election, students will be voting for their preferred candidate, with results being announced on the morning of Friday 5th July. We have five excellent candidates standing, represented by students in Years 8, 9 and 10, in which all students in Year 7 – 10 will be eligible to vote. Please encourage your child to come to school on the 4th July and be ready to vote!
