Year 12 - Students are to create macroeconomics diagrams, short and long run, to illustrate the effects of reduced interest rates on the UK economy. Challenge/extension: Did the reduction in interest rates have the desired effect? Time upwards of 1 hour 30 minutes depending on method used.

Year 13 – To accompany their lessons on globalisation, students will be asked to gather items from within their home that are produced in the UK and items that are produced abroad. Extension: Other than mobile phones, can you identify any product which involves more than one country in its production process- identify the countries involved. Time: 50 minutes
