For all year groups. Students will select as many activities as they want.
- Students to go for a walk and note down language that they encounter (vocab list/description).
- Write a story in the target language. · “Erase una vez” el zorro dijo al pajaro… complete the next line!
- Cooking: follow a Spanish / French / Turkish / Roman / Latin American recipe.
- To create/build board games (monopoly style) with the vocabulary and grammar they know well.
- To make a theatre play on conjugation or any other area of the language. With the verbs and endings being characters. There could be a villain in the play and a hero.
- To label your bedroom/house with post it notes to master vocabulary about house and everything in the house.
- To create/build anagrams, puzzles, crosswords, etc.
- To write raps, poems, short stories about the language they are learning. It could be in English as an exploratory reflection on their perceptions and language learning experience.
- To march military style with drill chants in the target language. Short sharp statements. They could record themselves. This can be done in conjunction with some of the PE suggested activities like jogging.
- To adapt indoor/outdoor games into the target language and play them.
